When you leave a comment we collect the following information:

  • Your name – this is then visible to the public.
  • Your email address – this is not visible to the public and remains private at all times
  • Your website address (if you choose to provide it) – this is then visible to the public

When you complete and submit a Contact Form, your name and email address is also required (website address is optional).  This is not visible to the public, only Alexandra Payne.

What we do with the information that is collected

When you leave a blog post comment we require your name so that Alexandra Payne and other users of the site are able to identify you.  You do not have to use your own name or your full name in the comment section if you do not wish to do so.

We require your email address to be able to notify you if someone has replied to your comment.  Your email address is used for no other purpose, and Alexandra Payne will never share, lease or sell your email address to any third parties, nor will it be used for marketing purposes.  No spam, we promise!

If you decide to provide a link to your own website when you leave a comment this allows Alexandra Payne and the site’s readers the ability to visit your website.  This data is used for no other purposes.  You do not have to provide this information if you do not want to.

If you have opted in to receive new posts via email, then your name and email address are stored in order to send you each new post as it goes live.  Your details are held securely and are never shared, leased or sold to any third parties, or used for any other purposes.

If you have sent a comment via the Contact Form, your name and email address are used by Alexandra Payne to reply to the communication.  Your website address (if you have opted to include it) allows Alexandra Payne the ability to visit your website.  This data is used for no other purposes.

  • If you subscribe to Alexandra Payne via email, you can unsubscribe at any point by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, or click Unfollow on the home page.  Alexandra Payne will not contact you again unless you choose to opt back in by leaving a comment or re-subscribing.
